I want to START my Substack which is “Rise Above War” but somehow my feelings and thoughts seem insignificant with everything going on in the world. Many of us are sad and confused and appalled and angry and…..
I relate to your reticence with my own substack. So many drafts! So many more zillions of notes and lines linking ideas. If the past is any guide, some of these may actually be important. Still that fear, that lack of self bief. But I know these particular.muses are acting on what I'm reading, being shocked by wanting to say, and the how of the saying it.
I just wanted to say that you voicing your creative concerns feeds my bravery a little. Reaching out a hand. No Ra Ra advice, I know it's difficult. Maybe start with small small which includes the confession of how difficult it is, the fears, hopes, relating back to real things I your own world, grounding. And allow your emotions to be as close to their screaming or crying or laughing selves as possible. We don't do enough of that, there's a wee bit much of polishing for conformity. That's my 2 cents worth, sorry if I actually went a bit Ra Ra.

When will the killing stop? What's the point of international law if it isn't enforceable? What do we do about this? I wish I knew...
